Bitcoin (BTC) has reached a record price of $122,000, surpassing giants like Amazon and Google to become the world’s fifth-largest asset by market capitalization.
BTC's market value has now hit $2.4 trillion. Vincent Liu, Chief Investment Officer at Kronos Research, attributes this significant rally to strong underlying factors such as inflows into spot ETFs, regulatory advancements in the U.S., and increased global liquidity. Liu also noted that potential interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve (FED) could further accelerate Bitcoin’s rally.
However, Liu stressed the critical importance of retail investor participation for Bitcoin’s price to sustainably reach the $130,000-$150,000 range. He warned that if ETF inflows slow or regulatory uncertainties resurface, the rally could face significant risks. Eugene Cheung, Head of Trading at OSL Exchange, echoed Liu's sentiment, predicting Bitcoin could test $150,000 by the end of the year.
