Eurozone annual inflation announced as 8.5%

On a monthly basis, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the eurozone fell by 0.4% in January but rose at an annual rate of 8.5%. On an annual basis, the expectation was 9%. Latvia ranked 1st in the Eurozone with 21.6% year-on-year in January, while Spain and Luxembourg had the lowest annual inflation figures at 5.8%.
