A recent survey conducted by Pew Research found that the majority of Americans who are familiar with cryptocurrencies consider current methods of trading and investing in cryptocurrencies to be 'unsafe'.
The survey of 10,701 respondents, conducted in March, found that 88% of US adults had heard of cryptocurrencies. However, according to the survey results, about 75% of these people think that cryptocurrency investment and trading is not safe. The survey found that 17% of American adults have traded in cryptocurrencies. This rate was 16% in August 2022.
The results showed that 41% of men aged 18-29 have traded cryptocurrencies, while only 16% of women in the same age group responded similarly. According to the survey, people from upper and middle income groups are more likely to invest in cryptocurrencies than lower income groups.
