Following the launch of its $2.5 billion Bitcoin reserve, Donald Trump’s media company, Trump Media & Technology Group, is taking its crypto ambitions further. The company’s social media platform, Truth Social, has officially filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to launch a spot Bitcoin ETF.
The filing was submitted by NYSE Arca, a subsidiary of the New York Stock Exchange, and outlines the proposed "Truth Social Bitcoin ETF", which aims to track the market price of Bitcoin and function similarly to existing spot ETFs. The fund will be managed by Yorkville America Digital, a firm aligned with the “America First” ethos, while Foris DAX Trust Company, previously associated with Crypto.com, will serve as the custodian.
The move reflects Truth Social’s growing involvement in the crypto space and highlights Trump’s increasing institutional interest in Bitcoin. While SEC approval is still pending, the application has already drawn significant attention in the crypto industry, with some analysts suggesting that approval could mark the start of a new era for digital asset adoption.
