Crypto asset platforms in Turkey will pay a fee of 1% of their 2024 revenues, which will be allocated to TÜBİTAK's budget.
According to the new regulation announced by the Capital Markets Board (SPK), crypto asset service providers will only pay a certain percentage of their platform revenues to the SPK. These payments will be allocated to TÜBİTAK for blockchain and IT development.
The payments for the 2024 revenue will be due in 2025, and this regulation will be valid according to the SPK's decision on March 27, 2025.
This step is seen as a significant development in the regulation of Turkey's crypto asset sector.
