One of America’s oldest retail chains has started accepting cryptocurrency payments through a new partnership with a digital payments firm.
Bealls, a U.S. retail chain founded in Florida in 1915, has announced a partnership with digital payments company Flexa to enable cryptocurrency payments across its stores. Through the integration of Flexa Payments, customers can now pay with over 99 cryptocurrencies using more than 300 digital wallets. The new payment option applies to Bealls, Bealls Florida, and Home Centric stores. Flexa co-founder Trevor Filter praised the move as a milestone in innovation, saying, “The 110-year retail legacy of Bealls is incredible. It’s no surprise that a company with this much staying power is now embracing the most important evolution in payment technology the world has ever seen.”
With over 660 stores nationwide, Bealls joins the growing list of major U.S. retailers adopting crypto payments. Thanks to Flexa’s infrastructure, customers can make purchases using Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Dogecoin, and other leading cryptocurrencies. According to recent data, around 65 million Americans—about 28% of the adult population—now own digital assets, showing that crypto payments are rapidly entering mainstream retail in the U.S.
