Bitcoin Halving Started to Affect Miners: Nearly 10 Percent Decline in Production

After the Bitcoin halving last month, the amount of rewards miners received was halved. It was thought that this would reduce the income of bitcoin miners and cause problems.

However, with the halving, there was no direct halving in transaction fees with the demand on the runes protocol coming to the Bitcoin ecosystem. In fact, on the first day of the halving, it was seen that the transaction fee revenues generated by miners doubled.

Looking at the latest mining earnings reports, it was observed that in April, companies saw a decline in production despite the interest. Bitfarms, Cipher, CleanSpark, Core Scientific, Riot and Terawulf are among the companies that experienced a drop of between 6% and 12% in terms of Bitcoin production.

Experts believe that the amount of Bitcoin produced may fall further after the hype generated by the runes protocol subsides.
