Weekend selling pressure intensified due to thin liquidity, briefly pushing Bitcoin toward the 74,000 dollar range. Although prices rebounded above 76,000 dollars, shallow order books kept the market fragile, allowing relatively small sell orders to drive sharp moves.
The most notable development came from Strategy’s balance sheet. The company’s 712,647 Bitcoin holdings, with an average cost of 76,038 dollars, moved into unrealized loss territory for the first time since October 2023. While forced selling rumors circulated on social media, no such signal emerged from the company. US spot Bitcoin ETFs had already entered loss territory earlier, with nearly 3 billion dollars in outflows over the past two weeks signaling weaker institutional appetite.
Over the past 24 hours, around 510 million dollars in leveraged positions were liquidated across the crypto market. At the same time, geopolitical tensions, renewed political uncertainty in the US, ongoing China related concerns, and expectations shaped around Kevin Warsh continued to weigh on sentiment. Analysts view the move primarily as a leverage reset rather than a full trend reversal, though weak liquidity suggests heightened volatility may persist in the near term.
