U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $2.39 billion in net inflows during the September 21–25 trading week, while spot Ethereum ETFs attracted $689.8 million.

The Federal Reserve proposed rules under the GENIUS Act that would require supervised stablecoin issuers to fully back their tokens with approved reserves, including short-term Treasury bills, and meet standardized capital requirements.

Bitget revised its estimate of losses from the September 24 security breach to about $387.5 million. The incident also sparked debate over cross-chain protocols after THORChain declined to block transactions linked to the stolen funds.

Rising U.S. Treasury yields and renewed expectations of further Fed rate hikes weighed on crypto and other risk assets during the week. Bitcoin fell below $84,000, while major altcoins also retreated.

Bitcoin is trading at $82,864, while Ethereum is trading at $2,643.
