Fidelity’s First Tokenized Fund on Ethereum Receives AAA Rating

Global financial giant Fidelity International has taken another major step toward bridging traditional finance with blockchain technology. The company’s Fidelity USD Digital Liquidity Fund (FILQ), launched on the Ethereum (ETH) network, was awarded Moody’s top-tier AAA-mf rating. The development highlights the growing institutional confidence in tokenized financial products.

FILQ was designed as a blockchain-based version of Fidelity’s institutional liquidity fund, which currently manages around $7 billion in assets. Issued as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, the fund enables investors to access round-the-clock trading in digital markets. Moody’s also assigned the same AAA rating to BlackRock’s tokenized BUIDL fund on the same day, underscoring accelerating institutional adoption in the sector.

The fund’s infrastructure is powered by digital asset banking group Sygnum, while daily net asset value data is delivered through Chainlink (LINK) using JPMorgan-sourced information. Investors can subscribe to or redeem fund shares at any time using stablecoins. Fidelity International executives believe tokenization will become one of the foundational pillars of the future global financial system.
