A major French financial group is preparing to offer millions of its customers direct access to digital asset trading through mobile banking apps.
One of France’s leading financial institutions is set to integrate BTC, ETH, SOL and dollar based digital assets into its mobile banking platforms, marking a strong move into the sector. According to information shared by The Big Whale, the service will launch on Monday and will begin as a pilot through several affiliated banks. Roughly 2 million users will gain access to in-app trading during the initial phase.
The pilot covers several major regional branches and aims to expand the service to the entire 12 million retail customer base by 2026, depending on performance metrics and user engagement. Digital asset accounts will function as separate accounts managed by a group subsidiary, with a monthly service fee of 2.99 euros, a trading commission of 1.5 percent and a minimum fee of 1 euro per transaction.
The gradual rollout is designed to closely track user behavior and system performance under real demand. Across Europe, similar integrations have been accelerating as major financial institutions in different countries already provide comparable options. This latest step highlights the growing competition among regulated financial giants to meet rising demand for digital assets.
