According to Hana Bank's 2025 Korea Asset Report, one-third of South Korea's wealthy individuals, with assets over 1 billion KRW, are investing in virtual assets.
The report shows that these investors are allocating an average of 42 million KRW to virtual assets, with 34% owning more than four different types of virtual assets.
The findings highlight an increased interest in cryptocurrencies among wealthy Koreans, with half of them planning to continue their crypto investments in 2025. High return expectations are the main factor influencing investment decisions, as investors are not only seeking profits but also investing in the potential growth of virtual assets.
The report also emphasizes that "Young Wealthy" individuals under 40 years old are planning to invest more in cryptocurrencies than in traditional investments.
