SEBA Bank, the cryptocurrency bank based in Switzerland, announced that it opened a new office in Hong Kong as a part of its Asia-Pacific expansion in order to serve global institutional clients.
In the press release published on the news platform Forkast, SEBA Bank said that its Hong Kong office will provide consulting services and market research, and will be in touch with the strategic partners in the head office located in Zug, Switzerland.
Franz Bergmueller, CEO of SEBA Bank, made the following statement:
“With considerable pedigree as an international financial center, as well as an innovative and progressive regulatory approach to cryptocurrencies, Hong Kong is cementing its position as a global leader on cryptocurrencies.”
The downtrend in the NFT market in recent months has caused problems for the Swiss-based SEBA Bank. In late October, SEBA Bank stated that its NFT storage service allows retail and institutional clients to store any Ethereum-based NFTs, including the world-renowned NFT collections of Bored Apes and CryptoPunks.
SEBA Bank closed a $116m Series-C round in January. And in February, the Swiss-licensed bank opened its first overseas office in Abu Dhabi.
