Shiba Inu’s main developer, Shytoshi Kusama, stated in a Telegram channel that Shibarium, a Layer-2 solution, will soon begin its beta phase. Initially announced in May 2021, Shibarium is expected to launch in early 2023.
The Shiba Inu (SHIB) team recently launched a “special countdown”, but it turned out to be a website upgrade, not a major announcement about Shibarium or a new version.
In November, the SHIB dev team announced a Twitter profile for Shibarium called ShibariumNet. And they said that news about protocol upgrades and network updates and other related issues will be posted on this Twitter account.
The SHIB community has different opinions about Shibarium. While some argue that the developers should take the time they need, other community members want Shytoshi Kusama to be more specific about the release schedule of the long-awaited Shibarium.
