Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, known as Bitcoin-friendly, said he will accept Bitcoin (BTC) donations for his presidential campaign. Suarez said in his speech, "Officially, my campaign accepts Bitcoin. This is the process of developing technologies that will create democratising opportunities to create wealth and will not be manipulated by a person's ulterior motives, political goals, etc."
