Mojang Studios, the developer of the popular sandbox game 'Minecraft', licensed by Microsoft, announced that NFT and other blockchain products will not be supported by the studio or allowed to be used in the game.
In the statement from Mojang Studios, the following statements were made in summary:
"To ensure Minecraft players have a secure and inclusive experience, blockchain technologies will not be allowed to be integrated into our client and server applications... NFTs are not inclusive of our entire community... The speculative pricing and investment mentality around NFTs negatively impacts the focus on gameplay..."
