Morgan Stanley to Bring Crypto Trading to E-Trade Users

Morgan Stanley is preparing one of its biggest moves in the crypto space by enabling E-Trade users to trade Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana.

The Wall Street giant has joined blockchain infrastructure firm Zerohash’s $104 million funding round to support this initiative. According to Bloomberg and CNBC, the service is expected to roll out in the coming months, allowing E-Trade clients to trade cryptocurrencies directly. Zerohash, which builds API-based infrastructure for fiat, stablecoins, and digital assets, has now reached unicorn status with a $1 billion valuation.

Jed Finn, Morgan Stanley’s Head of Wealth Management, described the initiative as “phase one,” highlighting that blockchain technology has proven itself. He emphasized that clients should be able to access both traditional financial products and digital assets within familiar platforms.

This marks a significant expansion from the bank’s previous crypto involvement, which largely centered on Bitcoin ETFs and limited investments.
