Morgan Stanley Enters Bitcoin ETF Race Strong, Beats First-Day Expectations

The firm entered the crypto market with its MSBT product and quickly attracted significant investor interest. The fund recorded $34 million in trading volume on day one, while closing at $20.47 per share. More than 1.6 million shares changed hands, highlighting a solid start in the market.

This performance came in above expectations, surpassing Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas’ $30 million estimate. Despite entering the ETF space later than competitors, Morgan Stanley appears to be pursuing an aggressive strategy. Its low 0.14% management fee positions the product as one of the most competitive options available.

The company’s vast financial advisor network is also a key advantage behind this strong launch. With around 16,000 advisors and trillions of dollars in managed assets, this infrastructure enables broader distribution of the product. Meanwhile, rising Bitcoin prices and increasing ETF inflows are reinforcing a positive market outlook.
