U.S. President Donald Trump said he believes a trade agreement with China could be reached, adding that he may visit China early next year.
According to economist Bessent, the deal would lead Trump to lift the 100% tariff that is scheduled to take effect on November 1.
Trump also stated that he hopes to reach a “comprehensive trade agreement” with China this week.
In addition, he announced an extra 10% tariff on products imported from Canada.
At the time of writing, Bitcoin (BTC) is trading at $116,017, while Ethereum (ETH) is at $4,228.
The Fear and Greed Index stands at 42, indicating a state of fear.
