Tushar Jain, managing partner at leading crypto investment firm Multicoin Capital, revealed through social media posts that the company has been steadily building a position in Zcash (ZEC) throughout the year. Jain described Zcash not only as an investment opportunity but also as a return to the original cypherpunk ideals that inspired the cryptocurrency industry. The comments sparked discussions about growing institutional attention toward privacy-oriented blockchain projects.
According to Jain, political developments such as asset seizure and taxation proposals in California are pushing investors toward more private and censorship-resistant assets. While Bitcoin (BTC) remains resistant to censorship, Jain argued that governments could still target known wallet addresses through taxation policies. In this context, he believes Zcash’s advanced privacy features offer stronger protection for both individuals and institutions.
Multicoin Capital stated that demand for fully private, uncensorable, and seizure-resistant digital assets is continuing to grow. The firm sees Zcash (ZEC) as one of the clearest public-market plays for this thesis. As concerns around financial surveillance increase globally, privacy-focused blockchain technologies may gain a more strategic role among crypto investors.
