Ray Dalio's Critical Advice: 15% of Your Portfolio Should Be in Bitcoin or Gold

Renowned investor Ray Dalio recommended that investors allocate 15% of their portfolios to Bitcoin or gold as a safeguard against economic crisis risks.

Ray Dalio, founder of one of the world's largest hedge funds, shared critical investment advice during CNBC’s Master Investor Podcast. Dalio stated that long-term assets like Bitcoin or gold should account for about 15% of an optimally balanced portfolio. While Dalio personally favors gold, he acknowledged Bitcoin as an important alternative asset.

Highlighting the growing debt crisis and currency depreciation in Western economies, Dalio emphasized that the U.S. government would need to issue approximately $12 trillion in new bonds next year to refinance its debt, potentially triggering a broader economic crisis across Western economies.

Dalio also underscored that amid rising economic uncertainty, investors are increasingly seeking refuge in Bitcoin and gold. Although he remained cautious about Bitcoin's effectiveness as money, Dalio recognized that many view it as an alternative to traditional currency, pointing out investors’ declining trust in conventional financial markets.
