Ripple Invests in Asia’s First XRP Fund!

Hong Kong-based digital asset manager HashKey Capital has launched the “HashKey XRP Tracker Fund,” the first investment fund in Asia designed to track XRP performance.

Targeted at professional investors, the fund allows exposure to XRP without requiring direct ownership. Participation is available through cash or in-kind asset contributions, and shares will be traded on a monthly basis. Ripple made the first investment into the fund, becoming its primary backer.

HashKey Capital executive Vivien Wong described XRP as one of the most innovative assets in the market, stating that the fund aims to make digital asset investment more accessible for institutional investors. She also noted plans to collaborate with Ripple on broader investment solutions and deepen institutional partnerships.

With the return of the Trump administration, expectations around XRP-based ETFs have surged. Standard Chartered recently projected that XRP ETFs could be approved in the U.S. as early as Q3 2025, potentially bringing $8 billion in inflows to the market within 12 months.

At least seven companies, including Grayscale, have filed for XRP ETFs. The SEC is expected to make a decision on Grayscale’s application by May 22.
