Solana Introduces New Security Model: Enhanced Protection for Large Projects

In collaboration with Asymmetric Research, the foundation introduced STRIDE and SIRN, two security-focused programs aimed at improving transparency and resilience across decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. These initiatives will enable continuous monitoring and public reporting of project security standards, helping users better assess potential risks.

The STRIDE program provides a framework for evaluating project security, with independent assessments designed to increase transparency for investors. Protocols with over $10 million in total value locked (TVL) will gain access to ongoing security support, while those exceeding $100 million TVL will benefit from advanced smart contract verification tools.

Additionally, the SIRN (Solana Incident Response Network) brings together security firms and researchers to ensure rapid response against potential threats. While these tools strengthen the ecosystem, the foundation подчеркed that the primary responsibility for security still lies with development teams.
