Elon Musk’s space company SpaceX has made headlines again after transferring $268 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC) — its first major movement in three months.
According to on-chain analyst ai_9684xtpa, the transaction involved a total of 2,395 BTC sent to two separate addresses: 1,187 BTC to “bc1qq…” and 1,208 BTC to “bc1qj7…”. Both addresses remain inactive, with no selling activity recorded so far.
A similar transaction in July was later tagged by Arkham Intelligence as a Coinbase Prime Custody address, suggesting this recent move could also be an internal wallet shuffle rather than a sale.
Back in July, SpaceX transferred 1,308 BTC (around $152 million) in a similar move that coincided with the reactivation of several “Bitcoin fossil” wallets. Analysts now believe the company is reorganizing its Bitcoin holdings. While the total amount of BTC owned by SpaceX remains undisclosed, Elon Musk’s past remarks confirming that both Tesla and SpaceX hold Bitcoin have once again drawn attention.
