Bloomberg Intelligence ETF analyst Eric Balchunas speculated on when the SEC might announce its decision.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is set to make a decision today regarding VanEck's application for a spot Ethereum ETF.
Expectations that these applications will be approved have risen after the SEC communicated with exchanges and issuers earlier this week, leading to a 25% increase in Ethereum prices throughout the week.
Balchunas noted that the SEC announced its spot Bitcoin decision at 22:45 Turkish time and suggested that the Ethereum decision could be announced at 23:00.
Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart concurred, saying, “I agree. The exact time the SEC will announce this decision is unknown, but it is expected to be after market close.”
