Between March 16 and March 22, the company acquired 1,031 BTC worth approximately $76.6 million at an average price of $74,326 per Bitcoin. According to data shared by co-founder Michael Saylor, the firm’s total holdings have now reached 762,099 BTC, with the purchases largely funded through sales of its MSTR stock.
The company’s average acquisition cost stands at $75,694 per BTC, bringing total spending to around $57.7 billion. At current prices, the portfolio is valued at roughly $53 billion, implying an unrealized loss of approximately $4.6 billion.
Ahead of the purchase, Saylor signaled the move with his statement “The Orange March Continues,” highlighting the firm’s ongoing accumulation strategy. Strategy has purchased 43,346 BTC so far this month, while analysts note that although this model drives demand, it also introduces market-sensitive risks due to its dependence on favorable conditions.
