Genesis, a cryptocurrency company in liquidation, transferred a significant amount of crypto assets on August 2. 27,500 Ethereum (ETH) worth $87.09 million and 12,500 ETH worth approximately $39.59 million were transferred to the wallet address "0xcbCF". These assets are being moved to be returned to creditors in line with previous court approval.
The massive transfer comes as Genesis continues bankruptcy proceedings as part of the liquidation process. The company's move could potentially create selling pressure in the market and lead to short-term uncertainty, especially in Bitcoin and Ethereum.
