Tether Investments announced a $100 million strategic equity investment in Anchorage Digital, highlighting a deeper partnership with its banking arm, Anchorage Digital Bank, N.A., which serves as the issuer of Tether’s U.S.-regulated stablecoin, USA₮.
In a separate move, Tether disclosed a $150 million investment in Gold.com, securing an approximate 12% stake in the company. The investment includes plans to integrate Tether’s gold-backed token XAU₮ into Gold.com’s platform.
The company also stated that it is exploring the possibility of purchasing physical gold using USD₮ and USA₮. These initiatives, however, will proceed only if regulatory approvals and technical requirements are met.
Together, the two investments signal Tether’s broader strategy to expand its footprint across regulated digital banking and real-world asset integration through tokenized finance.
