Twitter is currently working on a feature called “Coins” that will allow users to support content creators on the platform.
With this new feature, Twitter aims to allow users to give each other “awards” using Coins that will be purchased with fiat currency. According to security researcher and data miner Jane Manchun Wong, Twitter is working on a purchase interface and menu item button for Coins at the moment. Wong has also said that Stripe will be used to process payments in fiat currency.
