The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) announces that they have postponed their plan to utilize Blockchain technology to facilitate various trading system components until 2024.
In a statement released on August 3, ASX said that the exchange expects to replace the CHESS trading system by April next year, however, there are still more development tasks to be completed before it can be made available.
The relevant statement read as follows:
"Based on current information, we do not expect the go-live date for CHESS to be before late 2024"
