AC Milan, the defending champion of the Italian Serie A League, announced their participation in a new NFT initiative. The team and Monkeyleague started a joint NFT drop of franchise-owned IP. The club announced its partnership with Monkeyleague in a press release, saying that the company will now be the club's official NFT partner, working closely with the club to create a new set of branded AC Milan NFT gaming assets, including players, stadiums, and more.
Milan's Chief Revenue Officer Casper Stylsvig said in a statement: "We are excited to launch this partnership with Monkeyleague, which allows us to strengthen our position in the digital innovation space. We are particularly proud to be the first football club to partner with Monkeyleague, bringing the game to our fans around the world and offering them a new and innovative way to engage with their favorite team."
