Berlin-based digital bank N26 announced that it will start allowing some of its customers in Austria to trade cryptocurrencies.
Valentin Stalf, Co-Chief Executive Officer of N26, said that cryptocurrencies are "an in-demand and interesting asset class".
N26 said it will expand the service to clients elsewhere in the coming months.
Cryptocurrencies are typically traded on exchanges outside of the traditional financial sector; however, major banks have increasingly started offering cryptocurrency-related services to their customers in recent years.
