Trump and Harris Face Off: Is Cryptocurrency on the Debate Agenda?

US presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump had fierce debates on issues ranging from abortion rights to immigration, but cryptocurrencies were not discussed. While Harris and Trump faced off on topics ranging from the raid on Congress to the war in Israel, the crypto industry was left out of the debate. On immigration, Harris emphasized the fight against human traffickers, while Trump continued his controversial claims about immigrants.

Although cryptocurrencies are not included in this debate, they continue to be an important agenda item in the 2024 elections. Crypto firms spent 119 million dollars this year, contributing to election campaigns. While Trump is more favorable to crypto, it is unclear how Harris will treat this sector. While some prominent figures from the crypto industry support Trump, Harris is also gathering grassroots support in the industry with the “Crypto4Harris” movement.
