Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin responded to three major criticisms of Ethereum.
In his personal blog, Buterin addressed criticism of Ethereum's MEV, liquid staking and node costs. “These are issues that I have been concerned about from time to time,” said Buterin, who believes that these problems can be solved.
To address the MEV issue, Buterin suggests quarantining these transactions (removing the ability of developers to remove transactions from a block).
In addition, Buterin states that operating a standalone node on the Ethereum network requires high hardware costs, as well as staking at least 32 Ethereum.
Buterin argues that these costs can be reduced and Ethereum can become an exemplary project in the sector with decentralized staking pools.
