With a 2.29% rise in the last 24 hours, BTC stands out among the day's top gainers
Bitcoin (BTC) reached an all-time high (ATH) of $112,152 today and is trading around $111,200 at the time of writing. According to the data, this record surpasses the previous ATH level of $112,000 reached in May. Since the beginning of the year, BTC has gained approximately 20% in value, continuing its upward trend due to macroeconomic developments and institutional demand.
There are several key factors behind this price increase. First, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s announcement that new tariff policies will take effect in August has reduced short-term economic uncertainty in the market. This has led investors to turn back to riskier assets. Additionally, public and political interest in cryptocurrencies has increased following a pro-Bitcoin statement by the political movement “America Party,” founded under the leadership of Elon Musk.
On the institutional investment side, there is also significant momentum. UK-based The Smarter Web Company recently purchased $24.4 million worth of Bitcoin, raising its total holdings to 226.42 BTC. With this move, the company is nearing the top 25 among publicly listed firms holding Bitcoin. At the same time, the total capital managed by spot Bitcoin ETFs has approached $150 billion, indicating continued interest from institutional investors.
All of these developments may have contributed positively to Bitcoin’s price performance.
