World Liberty Financial Prepares to Launch Debit Card and Retail App

World Liberty Financial is gearing up to roll out new payment and investment products that aim to make stablecoins easier to use in everyday life.

Speaking at Korea Blockchain Week 2025 in Seoul, WLFI co-founder Zak Folkman announced that the company will soon introduce its own debit card along with a retail application described as “Venmo meets Robinhood.” This will allow users to make peer-to-peer payments while also accessing investment features. Folkman also revealed that USD1 stablecoins will soon be compatible with Apple Pay.

Emphasizing that the firm will never launch its own blockchain, Folkman stated that their focus is on building universal, chain-agnostic solutions rather than competing with existing networks. WLFI, which entered the market in September 2024, aims to bridge traditional finance and blockchain through its native token and stablecoin. However, its token has dropped 37% since launch and fell over 10% in the last 24 hours, trading at $0.21.

While acknowledging the inevitability of price fluctuations, Folkman highlighted the company’s long-term vision: “This is not a sprint but a marathon. We aim to build lasting products for decades to come.” The firm also announced a partnership with one of South Korea’s leading crypto exchanges, setting the stage for potential future collaborations.
