The Turkish Esports Federation (TESFED) is organizing Turkey's only official Esports tournament for the third time this year under the name "Bitexen TESFED Turkey Cup." The organization, which starts on Jul. 2, will once again offer esports fans an esports festival with exciting and competitive matches.
The event, which was held for the second time last year and attracted great attention from esports lovers, will be held this year under the main sponsorship of Bitexen Teknoloji A.Ş. under the name "Bitexen TESFED Turkey Cup." Bitexen TESFED Turkey Cup, which is open to licensed esports players from all over Turkey, will start on Jul. 2 with 11 matches, and the final of the tournament will be held in Istanbul in August.
Hundreds of players from all over Turkey will compete with live broadcasts and offline events for nine days for the prize pool, which is worth 180,000 TL BTXN Coin.
The matches in this year's tournament schedule are as follows: HADO, CS: GO, Dota2, PUBG Mobile, PUBG, Fifa21 (FUT and Classic are two separate tournaments), Tekken 7, PES21, NBA2K21, Rocket League, and Zula.
After the completion of the finals, the champions of Dota 2, Tekken 7, and eFootball PES will compete at the "13th Esports Championship" and will have the chance to represent Turkey at the World Esports Championship.
If the champions win the regional tournaments, they will qualify for the World Championship final round, held in Eilat, Israel, from Dec. 14 to 20, as they did last year.
Commenting on the tournament, Bitexen Technology Chairman of the Board Kemal Cenk Erdem said; "The TESFED Turkey Cup, of which we were the title sponsor last year, will be held this year with the main sponsor Bitexen Teknoloji. As Bitexen, we are pleased to be part of the gaming industry with this sponsorship agreement, which closed in 2020 with more than 36 million players and $880 million in revenue.
The Turkish National Esports Team, consisting of last year's tournament winners, became undefeated champions by defeating all their rivals at the FIBA Esports Open 2020 II European Conference. We are happy to support our young people who make our country proud and TESFED, the only official Esports tournament in Turkey that gives them this opportunity."
In his statement, the founding president of TESFED, Alper Afşin Özdemir, stressed that Bitexen TESFED Turkey Cup has grown and developed every year, attracting more and more interest from esports fans.
Alper Afşin Özdemir pointed out that esports offer important opportunities in Turkey, which has a young and dynamic population, and added: "As the Federation since we were founded, we have worked to develop esports in our country on healthy foundations and make Turkey a world-class esports country. With this goal in mind, this year, we are organizing the Bitexen TESFED Turkey Cup, Turkey's only official esports cup, for the third time as a larger organization, which is one of the steps we are taking to promote youth and esports.
The winners of our now institutionalized Cup represent our country as national athletes in international esports organizations. The Turkish national esports team, composed of the winners of last year's TESFED Turkey Cup NBA2K tournament, beat all competitors at the "FIBA Esports Open" and flattered us all with their success on the international stage. We believe that our champions who will emerge from TESFED Turkey Cup this year will make us proud by returning with awards from international championships. I wish all esports lovers success and a championship full of excitement and competition and our esports players every success."
