Ethereum scaling tool Polygon announced the release of the zkEVM Public Testnet.
The following statements were made on Polygon's Twitter account:
“When we unveiled Polygon #zkEVM in July, it was a milestone not only for Polygon, but also for Ethereum & Web3. We're proud to announce Polygon zkEVM Public Testnet, the world's 1st open source zkEVM network!."
At ETHCC in Paris, France, in July 2022, Polygon said it would launch the zkEVM public testnet over the summer, with the goal of launching a mainnet in early 2023.
