Over the years, Bitcoin’s dramatic price increase has turned this transaction into a striking example. While 2,900 BTC represented a massive payment back then, it is now worth hundreds of millions of dollars, and even the 7 BTC sale price still represents a significant amount today.
Beyond its financial aspect, the apartment also holds historical significance. Wang Chun stated that he launched a Zcash mining pool from this property, highlighting the humble beginnings of the crypto ecosystem and showcasing Bitcoin’s remarkable rise against traditional assets.
