BitMine, which holds the world’s largest corporate Ethereum treasury, continued accumulating ETH over the past week. According to a company update reported by Wu Blockchain, BitMine purchased an additional 9,926 ETH, bringing its total holdings to 5,815,164 ETH. The company now controls approximately 4.8% of Ethereum’s total supply, putting it closer to the 5% threshold.
A significant portion of BitMine’s Ethereum holdings is also being deployed through staking. The company currently has 5,067,309 ETH staked, representing roughly 87% of its total ETH reserves. BitMine expects these positions to generate approximately $250 million in annualized staking revenue, although the figure represents a company estimate rather than realized earnings.
Alongside its Ethereum strategy, BitMine continued its share repurchase program by buying back 1.7 million shares during the past week. Total repurchases since July have now exceeded 20.8 million shares. As of August 16, the company reported approximately $11.4 billion in total assets, including crypto holdings, cash, securities and other investments.
