Bitcoin Falls and Oil Rises Following Trump's Remarks on Iran

Speaking at a press conference during the NATO Leaders' Summit in Ankara alongside NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Trump said the ceasefire with Iran had come to an end and described further engagement with Tehran as a waste of time.

Following the comments, market sentiment shifted toward risk aversion. Bitcoin (BTC) fell below the 62,000 dollar level, while energy markets rallied. Brent crude climbed from around 71 dollars to 76 dollars before extending gains above 78 dollars. Meanwhile, spot gold slipped below the 4,100 dollar level.

Trump also addressed Spain and Türkiye during the press conference. He argued that Spain has failed to meet its NATO commitments and said he is considering ending trade relations with the country. Commenting on Türkiye and Israel, Trump spoke about his relationships with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while highlighting Türkiye's strong military capabilities.
