OpenSea's CFO Brian Roberts Leaves His Position

Brian Roberts, CFO of NFT marketplace OpenSea, has become the latest high-profile Web3 executive to leave his post in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. In a post on LinkedIn on October 7, Roberts, the former CFO of OpenSea, said it was time to 'come ashore' from the 'high seas'; however, he did not specify the exact reasons for the change. Roberts said only that he would remain an advisor to the company going forward.

Roberts was appointed CFO of OpenSea in December 2021 after seven years at Lyft. Roberts previously held corporate roles at US retail giant Walmart and technology company Mircosoft.

NFT trading volume fell 98% to USD 114.4 million from USD 6.2 billion at the end of January.
