Donald Trump Jr. has firmly denied recent rumors circulating in the crypto market that Truth Social is launching a meme coin.
Several projects using the Trump name have emerged on networks like Ethereum and Solana, causing confusion among investors. However, Trump Jr. clarified via X that these coins have no affiliation with Truth Social and warned the public against falling for fraudulent schemes.
World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a DeFi project known for its close ties to the Trump family, also issued a statement reinforcing that they are the only crypto project currently endorsed by the Trump family. Meanwhile, a shareholder letter released by Truth Social in April mentioned plans for a future reward token integrated with a digital wallet. However, this token is not intended to be a meme coin but rather a utility token designed to support the platform’s internal economy.
