Curve is a platform in the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem, which operates using the ERC-20 token standards on the Ethereum blockchain. It can be used in various DeFi applications such as liquidity pools and payment protocols. Curve was launched in August 2020 by Michael Egorov, one of the founders of Bitshares and DEX Omega One. The Curve protocol functions as a liquidity pool, allowing tokens to be traded on different decentralized exchange (DEX) platforms. Users of Curve can deposit their tokens into the liquidity pool and earn Curve tokens in exchange.
