SEC Approves XRP-Based ETFs: Here’s the Launch Date!

In the U.S., multiple ETF applications based on XRP futures contracts have been approved, while the process for spot XRP ETFs remains ongoing.

The products, scheduled to launch on April 30, include the 2x leveraged Ultra XRP ETF, the -2x leveraged UltraShort XRP ETF, and the Short XRP ETF, which offers inverse exposure to XRP prices. These funds, initially filed in January, received implicit approval after facing no objections during the review period.

ETF activity around XRP is gaining momentum, as another company recently launched an ETF providing leveraged exposure to XRP prices. Analysts suggest that the approval of a spot XRP ETF now appears increasingly likely. The consecutive rollout of futures-based products highlights XRP’s growing appeal as a strategic tool for institutional investors. Following these developments, the price of XRP rose by over 1%.
