Robert Mitchnick, the world's largest asset manager and head of digital assets, made statements at the Bitcoin 2024 conference that upset altcoin investors. Mitchnick stated that ETFs for altcoins such as Solana and Polygon are unlikely, emphasizing that client interest is largely focused on Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Franklin Templeton, on the other hand, was positive about Solana's potential for the market in the future. However, the expectation of a spot ETF for popular cryptocurrencies such as Ripple still remains.
