Cryptocurrency-focused investment firm a16z has led a Series A funding round for gaming studio Voldex for an undisclosed amount.
Voldex upgrades the quality of user-generated content platforms such as Roblox and Minecraft by acquiring and developing existing games. a16z's Andrew Chen and Jack Soslow said in a statement,
"The huge, growing user bases of these platforms and the Voldex team's deep understanding of the UGC gaming space position Voldex well to deliver significant growth in the coming years."
