Justin Sun, founder of the Tron ecosystem, stated that TRON (TRX) aims to be accepted as a legal tender in 5 countries this year. In a Twitter message, Sun said that although this goal is "ambitious", he is "confident" that it can become a reality.
"When a government recognizes a digital currency as a legal tender, it gives the public a sense of trust and security, making them more likely to invest and use it," Sun said, emphasizing that accepting TRX as a legal tender across countries would increase the cryptocurrency's "legitimacy and usage."
