Ethereum’s Shapella Upgrade has been enabled on the Goerli Testnet. Ethereum core developer Tim Beiko said that while withdrawals were being made, the process did not go as smoothly as expected, because some testnet validators had not upgraded their client software. The mainnet upgrade is expected in early April 2023.
Shapella is the consensus upgrade of the highly anticipated Shanghai Upgrade, which is focused on unlocking locked ETHs.
