US-based software company MicroStrategy is looking for an engineer to work on Lightning Network related products, according to a recent job posting. The job posting includes the following statements:
“As a Bitcoin Lightning Software Engineer at MicroStrategy, you will build a Lightning Network-based SaaS platform, providing enterprises with innovative solutions to cyber-security challenges and enabling new eCommerce use-cases.”
MicroStrategy announced on September 20 that it purchased 301 Bitcoins for approximately USD 6 million in cash. With this purchase, the company increased the number of Bitcoins to 130,000.
In early August, Michael Saylor stepped down as CEO of MicroStrategy and became the company's Chairman of the Board. It was announced that the new CEO of the company was Phong Le.
Saylor stated that he thought that the separation of the Chairman and CEO positions would enable them to better follow their two corporate strategies of buying and holding Bitcoin and growing the enterprise analytics software business, and said, "As Chairman of the Board, I will be able to focus more on our Bitcoin acquisition strategy and our initiatives to support Bitcoin."
